I recently finished my photostory for the Bambicrony Bella contest!! Definitely better than other photostories I've tried to do, although the text editing was just done quickly. So now I have three entries, Beauty: Little Ladybug, Cosplay: Follow the yellow brick road, and Photostory: Crysanthemum Goes to School. =D After this contest is over, I'll have new photo shoots to post.
On a side note, I am lusting after a Little Fee Ante so much. I can't resist that cute face and amazing posing while still being large enough to sew clothes for. Oh Fairyland - I really thought I was content with my family of two! My birthday IS coming up, though... >.>;

Still not totally complete, but...bwah she is so cute I had to post pics! The arrival story can wait. xD
I was worried we weren't bonding, but it's amazing what little things like restringing and a new faceup can do for a doll. ^^

01:33 pm - lost in the mail...
So Chrys' head, after getting her faceup, was returned to sender. ;.; I don't know how long she'll take to get here now. What a pain!! I am guessing this has something to do with my moving to a new apartment and not having my name in the mailbox yet since I *JUST* moved here.
In other news, Mae's birthday is coming up! Photos soon, promise!! =D

So~ since certain friends have been bugging me for pictures of the new girl, here she is! I didn't want to post pictures since she is not ready, but here is a quick sneak peak plus some thoughts/ramblings.
Her name is Chrysanthemum. Yes I know it's long but it's from my favorite children's book. ^^ Everyone can just call her Chrys though. I'm not going to type that long name all the time, either!

Long time no posty on Mae's journal!
For some time I did not have a camera, but there shall be more pictures soon. I have a much better one, now!
Thanks to Mr. Tax Return, I was able to buy my second dolly! She shipped today!! =D YAY! Finally I will have a tiny and Mae will have a little sister. ^_^ You'll just have to wait to see who it is!
Now, if only a doll meet would fall on a date I'm NOT doing something else already. I may just have to organize my own since I haven't been to one since last summer!
Everyone going to SabotenCon should enter their dolls in the BJD Fashion Show that Yukiko is running! I am making a new outfit for Mae to show off and this will be a really cool event to see! =D

I haven't had much time to sew or photograph for Mae. ;.; Here are some quick ones I did featuring her strawberry dress that I made for the June meetup and her cute sleepy bear pajamas. =D Isn't her new wig the cutest!?! ^^ I cut up her old long one but it was just too damaged and frizzy so she won't wear it anymore except to travel in.

I'm so bad...anyways finally putting these up here!! Batteries died so I couldn't get anymore outside.
The Frills Club! Not accepting new memberships at this time. ( +12 )
Mae's strawberry dress was extremely rushed (haha! made in one day!) and needs some tweaking before I will do a photo set of her in it. ^^
Sadly I didn't make it to ANY of the doll meets at Anime Expo. :( But I saw lots of pretty dolls just walking around and in the art alley and dealer's hall!! :3

11:13 am - I'm back!
I kind of disappeared. x.x Well I'm back!! Saturday I went to my first Arizona doll meet! It was big, though it wasn't a shock after the doll meets at the Texas cons I've been too (AnimeFest and A-kon) and I know there are LOTS of doll owners here. Except for getting lost...it was nice. ^^ I only knew two people, tasu and D, and I admit to following around tasu and mostly just playing with her and my dolls. xD There were lots of cute ones there though! I'm just shy about talking to strangers and definitely asking if I can pose their dolls. ^.^;
I forgot to get new camera batteries so wouldn't you know my camera died before I got many pictures. :( They were taken indoors and need quite a bit of editing, and I'm busy getting ready for Anime Expo ::coughstylingcosplaywigscough:: so I'll post them after the con, along with a shoot of Mae's new strawberry dress and any doll pics I may take at the con. ^^

I snagged that fur wig for just $1 at the swap meet xD It's a perfect fit! I think it'll go better with casual outfits than a frilly dress like this though. After I get a couple paychecks, I fully intend to buy her some new wigs and eyes for her birthday come August. ^^

Also's there's going to be a meetup at Ikkicon next weekend. =D Yay I get to see timeless_rose again and meet all her new members! There hasn't been much chatter on the forums so I doubt it will be huge again like AnimeFest's, but hopefully it'll still be cool. ^^

I was supposed to have this done for HALLOWEEN. LOL I fail. =B Anyways here are the pictures of Mae in her Alice costume. ^^ I put in her more dramatic eyelashes (which was harder than I thought it would be and so was placing the eyes back in x.x) and glossed her lips which were totally faded. I think the additions make her features pop. ^.~ Guess I should also mention I gave her wig somewhat of a hime-cut. I think it was just the right thing to jazz up the kinda boring straight wig. Funny thing is I am not an Alice in Wonderland fan at all but I think Alice lolitas are so cute! ;3;

01:02 am - Doll Meet + Cemetary
I FINALLY went out and did a set of photos of Mae in the lolita outfit I premiered at PCC. Time just got away from me but finally they're here, taken at the cemetary I've had in mind since even before the outfit was finished. I went CRAZY and took 112 total XD;; (Damn I love having a 2 gig memory card. Thanks John! <3) These are just my favorites.

Oklahoma Doll Meet!
Over on Den of Angels, I organized a meetup at my house for Sunday, the 15th. Well all through the thread everybody had said that date was good for them but then about a week before everyone just kept dropping out one by one. So it ended up only being 3 of us. o.o Gish (Cerberus Project Beauty White Delf Miyu) and Ludvine (Angel Region Little Fair Angelica) belong to Caerbannog/Jennifer and Angelwolf23/Amy was still waiting on her Angel Region Ami to come, so including Mae it was just three dolls. ^.^;; Okay smallest meetup ever but YEAH it's a start. ;p I had so much leftover food! XD;;

Hopefully in the future we'll have bigger and better meetups and it won't RAIN so we can actually take pictures outside in good lighting.
